Demonstrates high standards for professional conduct.
School culture is important to me, and in my student teacher experience I was lucky to have a great example of positive working relationships between every adult in the building. Teachers and staff are eager to help one another, and seem to genuinely care about each other. As a teacher, it is important to me to be able to ask advice from more experienced teachers, and feel included in meetings. It is important to me to do the same for others. Every person in the school has an essential role to helping the school function and I conduct myself with utmost respect for everyone in the building.
La cultura escolar es importante para mÃ, y en mi experiencia como estudiante docente tuve la suerte de tener un gran ejemplo de relaciones de trabajo positivas entre todos los adultos en el edificio. Los maestros y el personal están dispuestos a ayudar a los demás y parecen preocuparse genuinamente por cada uno. Como maestro, es importante para mà poder pedir consejo a maestros más experimentados y sentirme incluido en las reuniones. Para mÃ, es importante hacer lo mismo por los demás. Cada persona en la escuela tiene un papel esencial en el funcionamiento de la escuela, y me comporto con el máximo respeto hacia todos en el edificio.

Teachers link professional growth to their professional goals.
My growth as a teacher is linked to my goals in many other areas, such as the development of my personal body of artwork, as well as goals such as language acquisition. I have a great interest in educational and developmental psychology, and this reflects in my curriculum and practice.
Mi crecimiento como docente está relacionado con mis objetivos en muchas otras áreas, como el desarrollo de mi propio cuerpo de obras de arte, asà como con objetivos como la adquisición de idiomas. Tengo un gran interés en la psicologÃa educativa y del desarrollo, y esto se refleja en mi currÃculo y práctica.

Element C
Teachers are able to respond to a complex, dynamic environment.
In a Title 1 school, there are often new and challenging dynamics that arise on a day to day basis. I pride myself in my emotional intelligence and my ability to respond to complex situations. As a student teacher, there were days that a substitute could not come in last minute an I was always happy to jump in and help. As an art teacher, I knew the names of every student from every grade level, so it was helpful for me to be there an assist with classes. There were also some situations in which students acted out violently, and I promptly reacted appropriately to diffuse the situation and radio for help. These are just a couple examples of complex environments that have arisen in which I have responded.
En una escuela de TÃtulo 1, a menudo surgen dinámicas nuevas y desafiantes dÃa a dÃa. Me enorgullezco de mi inteligencia emocional y de mi capacidad para responder a situaciones complejas. Como estudiante docente, habÃa dÃas en que un sustituto no podÃa venir en el último minuto y siempre estaba feliz de intervenir y ayudar. Como profesora de arte, conocÃa los nombres de cada estudiante de cada nivel de grado, por lo que era útil para mà estar allà y asistir en las clases. También hubo algunas situaciones en las que los estudiantes actuaron de manera violenta, y reaccioné de inmediato de manera adecuada para desactivar la situación y pedir ayuda por radio. Estos son solo un par de ejemplos de entornos complejos que han surgido en los que he respondido.

demonstrates leadership in the school, the community, and the teaching profession
I am eager to help out in any way I can and am excited to jump into any art related task that needs to be done or orchestrated. I also am proactive in applying for grants and getting the materials that students in the schools need. My Product Design Unit was awarded a $300 grant that was spent towards supplies for the unit!
Estoy ansioso por ayudar en todo lo que pueda y estoy emocionado por involucrarme en cualquier tarea relacionada con el arte que deba hacerse o orquestarse. También soy proactivo en la solicitud de subvenciones y en obtener los materiales que los estudiantes en las escuelas necesitan. ¡Mi Unidad de Diseño de Productos recibió una subvención de $300 que se gastó en suministros para la unidad!
